Cross country team to help out during Art for the Sangres event
San Isabel Land Protection Trust welcomes the support of the Custer County cross country team during its upcoming 17th annual Art for the Sangres fundraiser.
The high school and middle school athletes will be servers for 100 guests during the Friday night sponsor and artist party and dinner on Sept. 27 at A Painted View Ranch. San Isabel has hired the team so that they can raise money for lodging at the middle school state meet that will be held in October at the Denver Botanical Gardens in Chatfield.
Following the Friday night party on Saturday, the art sale is open and free to the public from 1-5 p.m. The Land Trust encourages students and adults to visit the new location and preview the art if they are unable to attend the paid reception from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, and may be purchased by visiting: www.artforthesangres.com or by calling 719/783-3018 or stopping by the SILPT office in the Wet Mountain Trading Company building at 59000 N Highway 69. If you are interested in attending the Friday night sponsor and artist party, a limited number of sponsorships are also still available. Please contact SILPT for more information at 783-3018
