With only four persons running for six seats on the Silver Cliff  town board, the election  slated for April 6 may be canceled.

Incumbents Dave Peterson and Larry Weber are seeking four-year terms, while incumbents Brian Woods and Nora Drenner are seeking another two years in office.

Incumbent trustees Jeff Banning and Sharon Langfeldt chose not to run again. Mayor Allen Butler is not up for re-election.

Those interested in running for a seat on the board can contact the Silver Cliff town hall at 783-2615 regarding the requirements.

If necessary, the Silver Cliff trustees will hold a special meeting on March 23 to cancel the election.

If the election is canceled, appointments would have to be made to fill the vacancies on the board.
