There’s only one day left to compete a self-nomination form to get your name on the ballot for the upcoming special district election.

Completed self-nomination forms must be submitted by tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 26. Special District Election Day is May 4 with polls open at the county courthouse.

In The Round Mountain Water and Sanitation District four board seats are up for grabs.

Incumbents John Johnston, Jerry Lacy, Darrell Niles and Randy Wilhem have all turned in the required paperwork to get their names on the ballot. Board of director Chris Haga is not up for re-election.

In the West Custer County Hospital District, only one board seat is up for re-election.

As of Monday afternoon, incumbent Trish Leavitt was the only person to complete a self-nomination form. Jon Wallestad, Dee Hoag, Karla Joseph and Roy Gilmore are not up for re-election.

In the Wet Mountain Fire Protection District, Jim Lewis and Jeff Holmberg are up for re-election. Both are seeking another four years in office.

Not up for re-election on the fire district board are Roger Camper, Darrell Geroux and Dave Tonsing.
