The Round Mountain Water and Sanitation District has received two letters of interest to be appointed to the board of directors.

Interested in replacing board member John Potts who recently resigned are Randy Wilhelm and Raymond Thomas.

In his letter, Wilhelm said he had served on the board in the past, and he felt he would be an asset.

In his letter, Thomas said he had previously served as water superintendent and manager of Beaver Park Water and Canon Heights Irrigation Company.

The RMW board of directors received the two letters of interest during their regular board meeting on Dec. 3. A special meeting will be held on Dec. 17, beginning at 4 p.m. to make an appointment.

In other business during the Dec. 3 meeting, the RMW board:

—SIGNED the final contract with the Coleman Ranch regarding leasing the Johnson Place ranch for grazing purposes.

—ADOPTED the final 2010 budget with revenues totaling $870,748 and expenses totaling $752,428, as compared to $1,209,948 in revenues and $912,195 in expenses in 2009.

All board members — chairman Darrell Niles, Jerry Lacy, Chris Haga and John Johnston — were present.
