Friday, July 31, will be a family affair in Westcliffe
when the legendary western music group Sons of the San Joaquin joins with the
up-and-coming acoustic phenomenon Sons and Brothers Band for a special
one-night-only concert at the The Western harmony of the Sons of the San Joaquin, Joe
and Jack Hannah and Joe’s son Lon, features a rich,
burnished vocal blend and distinctive sound that has carried the Hannah family
from local church and community gatherings to such far-flung locales as The Sons and Brothers Band is back with a bang following
the loss of band leader Frank Wolking in 2008. The
band now consists of Wolking brothers Mike, Aaron,
Joe, everybody’s favorite uncle Fred, and fiddle wizard Johnny Neill. Sons and
Brothers are continuing to push the envelope of acoustic, gospel, and western
music by bringing an energy and excitement to the music that is both infectious
and exhilarating. Brilliant instrumental work, heart-wrenching vocals and songs
that take the listener on an emotional journey through joy, pain, and ultimate
