Letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the board of
directors for Round Mountain Water and Sanitation District are still being
accepted. To date Jerry Lacy
and Bob Gilchrist, both of Westcliffe, have submitted letters of interest. The RMW board had originally planned to fill the vacancy
during the regular meeting slated for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 8. However, they
decided to hold off making an appointment until February because they expect
tonight’s meeting to be lengthy. Also, noted RMW board
president Chris Haga, the board has 60 days to make
an appointment so there is no need to rush the matter. A vacancy on the RMW board was created in December when
director Paul Rose resigned. In addition to Haga, rounding
out the RMW board are Darrell Niles, John Potts and John Johnston. Call the RMW office at 783-2604 for more information
about submitting a letter of interest. The RMW board also
continues to search for a manager and operator in responsible charge. Previous manager and ORC Josh Cichocki
was fired in December after serving in that capacity
for one year. – |
